Christmas is In The Air
Roughly six weeks until christmas! I love this time of year so I can't wait until after Remembrance Day (which is nov. 11th) to start up the decorating! Putting up lights, decorating a tree, all kinds of christmas baking..I can't wait! This year will be Chloe's second christmas, I'm hoping where she is a little older this year she will be more excited!
I'm trying to come up with some cute things to do this christmas season. Last year I started the tradition of the Christmas Eve box which I am going to do a post about once I start getting it all together. This christmas will also be mine and my boyfriend'a first big holiday together which will be fun and exciting also.
Anyways I've thought about starting the elf on the shelf but Chloe is a little too young to understand that yet I think it would be a little more for me then it would be for her. Haha. I've been thinking about looking for a cute ornament that is a collection starting this year and get those for Chloe each year hut I have yet to find a cute ornament that is the first of a collection. The other little tradition I had started last year with Chloe was watching a christmas movie every other night for a couple weeks leading right up to christmas. It was hard to stick to but I definitely think I will continue that this year. Unfortunately it will probably just be Chloe and I and occasionally the odd family member again this year because Darin will be working out west right up until christmas I believe.
Still have been thinkingn of things in the community that might be a possibility, my church holds a Christmas Eve service although it sort of interferes with another tradition my family has ( I'm going to do another post about current traditions). Also the only other thing I can think of would be the live nativity that my church puts on a couple weeks before christmas at the agricultural college in town.
Does anyone have any cool christmas traditions they have? I'd love to hear about them and possibly get some ideas, haha. Sorry I haven't posted in a while I post from my iPod because my computer isn't working properly and it is a bit of a hassle to do so but I'm going to try my best especially over the christmas season to stay on top of it!
