What Santa Brought Us 2015

Image
First off! I am going to say is that this post is not meant to brag in any way whatsoever. Anyways I'm going to start with the he kids and then I'll tell you a couple things that I got.  In Chloe's letter to Santa she asked him for a kitchen and my little ponies, that is exactly what he brought her! She was super excited, he also brought her a toy dish set. From myself I got get her a doll and a blingy belt (it's super cute!) and some clothes. Her daddy got her a Sofia the first doll, a princess was another thing she said she wanted so she was pretty happy when she opened that as well! My parents got Chloe a few things, Chloe's favorite was probably a set of play food. My favorite thing that she received was from my father, it was a little necklace with her birthstone. -the kids opening a present from Santa, Logan is opening a tractor and Chloe is opening her ponies- Logan was a little to young to ask Santa for anything this year but Santa didn't forget him! Check out FutureSchool.com

Currently I am 17, so obviously i am still in high school and haven't graduated yet. This year would have been my senior year. Unfortunately it isn't and I'm considered still in grade 11 because I haven't gotten enough credits yet. A lot of young girls that get pregnant in high school don't usually graduate high school, or at least where I live that seems to be the case. I'm so thankful to my parents that they have been helpful enough that I am still able to attend school. I am not in high school full time though. At my high school there are three grades 10-12 and 2 semesters in a school year. 4 classes a semester so 8 in a year. Every day we have the same four classes in a different order ( we have an 8 day cycle, not sure why though because the first 4 are the same as the last 4). Right now I am taking one class in the school and three classes through correspondence. It's not to bad but I'm horrible for procrastinating and I hate having to mail in e...

Holiday Chaos

Image
First off-- Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone had a good one and is enjoying the holidays! I know I am, I've been super busy so it's been a few days since I posted last. Chloe and Logan had a great Christmas, Chloe was super excited and Logan seems to enjoy the lights and wrapping paper as well. I just love the holidays it brings all my family together, there's no place that I would rather be then surrounded by family. New Years is in a couple days and I'm looking forward to family coming over again, I'm more the type of person that would rather be at home then out partying or something. Plus, I'm not old enough to drink anyways ;p it's 19 in Canada where I live.  I am a bit disappointed that I didn't get the chance to do all the posts that I was hoping that were holiday themed, but there is always next year. I think my New Years resolution might just have to be get more organized! I have been really busy though, the day before Christmas Eve I re...

Christmas Foot Art!

Image
As you may have seen, for Halloween I also do a festive foot print for both of the kids. I believe Chloe's was Frankenstein and Logan's was a candy corn. I thought for Christmas I would continue with this and make a new tradition to do for every holiday. I have to say they are both adorable but I think the Christmas tree turned out a little bit better. I had a red Pom Pom for Rudolph's nose but I can't seem to find it so I just drew it on. I used the same little flat canvas board things as I did for th Halloween foot print art. I saw cute ideas for hand prints as well but I figured I would have a more difficult time trying to get the kids hands then I would their feet. I'm definitely going to also do this for Easter and maybe Valentine's Day as well! I think it's cute a cute keepsake, and the canvas boards are really cheap and come in a package of 5. There are so many sweet ideas, and arts and crafts are always fun. Chloe loves to do crafts with mama, I alwa...

Eve Box

Image
This is a tradition that I started Chloe's first Christmas, so two Christmases ago. I thought it was a cute idea, growing up I always got pyjamas Christmas Eve so I thought I would add to it and start the Eve box. I was pretty excited about it, this is the first tradition I started with my own little family. Chloe really liked opening it up last year on Christmas Eve before getting ready for bed, her first Christmas she was too young to know the difference. This year being Logan's first Christmas he too will be too young to care but he will like his Jammie's and stuffed reindeer I'm sure! Chloe may not be too thrilled about the whole Santa key idea, she is saying she doesn't like Santa and that she doesn't want him to come.. I imagine in the morning she will be glad to see that he will be stopping at out house Christmas Eve night.  The past two Christmases I have had fairly similar items included in my Eve box but there what I decided on for this year:  1. Jammi...

Beer Lover Gift

Image
This Christmas season I was really struggling to figure out what to get my father for Christmas, he's always really hard to come up with something for. I was looking through the flyers and found a set of all different beer tasting glasses. I got them at Canadian tire but I believe Walmart, winners and other places sell them as well. My dad is a big fan of beer so I thought that it would be something that he would enjoy. To go with it I wanted to get the beer that go in the glasses. I'm not 19 so I obviously couldn't do this part myself, I got one of my brothers to pick up the beer that I had decided on to go in the glasses. My other brother wanted to go in on this gift as well so also to go with it we picked up some treats like peanuts, cashews, and chocolates.  -picture of the beers labeled and in the box- Tulip Glass- Shock Top Belgian White  Porter/Stout Glass- London Porter & Martello Stout Pilsners- Propeller Pilsners Wheat Beer Glass- Erdinger  Weißbier Both Pro...

Elf on the Shelf Ideas!

Image
With only less then 2 weeks to go before Christmas, your scout elf may be just arriving or running out of new places to be and things to do. My scout elf arrived the beginning of December, above is a few pictures of where my family's scout elf; fruitcake has been so far. My personal favorites were fruit pcske fishing in the sink, hanging on the advent calendar and coloring on his little color pages. I  hope that some of my ideas are able to help you out in this last week and a bit days before Christmas. I know my elf is slacking on placement every morning now that everything is starting to get busier at my house! Hopefully he can keep it up until Christmas Eve! With not much time left before Christmas I still have so much left to do, I thought I was doing good stay on track but apparently not. Yesterday I was making a list of all the things I have left to do and there's a lot! I only have a couple gifts left to pick up, and everything that I have already is wrapped. I have all ...

2nd Breastfeeding Milestone

Image
I can't believe I actually made it to 6 months of breast feeding! I can't believe my baby is already 6 months old! Time has flown that's for sure. I'm actually surprised that I'm still breastfeeding where I considered myself having a really low supply so I figured that I would have dried up by now. Fortunately it is the total opposite, I think my milk supply is a lot greater compared to what it was I few months ago. I believe the reason being that Logan can go a lot longer inbetween feelings plus he has baby food now.  Before Logan was born I kind of thought that I would start to stop breastfeeding around 6 month but at the moment I don't really see an end in the near future. I know I don't really want to go much past a year if I make it that far but I'm just going to see how it goes until then. Some days I think about stopping, especially the other day when I got bit for the first time! But I'm really not looking forward to breastfeeding coming to a...

Wisdom Teeth Extraction

Image
Yesterday morning I went to get my wisdom teeth out. I was beyond nervous, I had never had any kind of surgery before or ever been sedated so I had no idea what it would be like. I was on the verge of tears and shaking the whole drive there and in the waiting room. Once I was called in I relaxed a little bit. The nurse explained what to expect and all of that to me while she got my IV ready. I'm not afraid of needles what so ever but I usually pass out when I get blood work so I mostly wasn't looking forward to that part of it. The nurse got it into my right arm, I didn't even feel it go in but she burst the vein so she had to try again on my left arm, it hurt that time but she got it in good. She told me that once she turned on the stuff to sedate me I would start to not care about anything and then I would kinda be in and out and when it's over and starts to wear off I wouldn't remember anything.  Unfortunately that wasn't the case for me, I remember the nurse...

Winter To-Do List

Image
The Although it is not yet officially winter, where I live we just got snow last night. Not a lot but we got snow, now it feels like it's winter! I'm not a big fan of winter, I love how pretty the snow looks but I don't like the cold very much. I don't own a pair of snow boots or pants of a heavy coat because I'm the winter when it's super chilly I just stay indoors and only go out when I absolutely have to!  -not much, I know. Especially for where I live but I'm sure there will be more soon!- I came up with a list of things to do in the winter for fun with a little help from Pinterest. I didn't want to post this until either I got some snow or it was officially winter season. -Make christmas cookies -Donate old toys -Make/decorate a gingerbread house -Drink hot chocolate  -Go Caroling  -Sledding! -Donate food to the food bank -Make apple cider -Wrap presents -Send Christmas cards -Play in the snow -Do Christmas crafts -Christmas photo shoot -Make pepper...
