Promposal
In my last post I mentioned that I was waiting on a meeting with my vice principal at school to see if I was going to be allowed to go to prom or not. My VP has had a hate on for me since day one, he has an issue with all the teen moms so I wasn't sure if I was going to be allowed to go. Well I had my meeting this past Friday..you probably guess by the topic of this post that they said I'm allowed to go! I am so excited!
I have a date in mind that I'm planning to ask, fingers crossed he says yes! I really don't want to go solo, so I will find a date haha. I have a few guy friends that would probably go if my crush doesn't want to. He likes me as well so he might say yes but he is also older then me so I would understand if he really doesn't want to go to a high school prom. I really just don't want to go alone to my senior prom, I went alone to my junior prom ( I was also 6 months pregnant at the time too lol).
I have my dress already and my shoes, clutch and hair accessories. I made my hair appointment so now I just need to figure out how I want my make up, what I'm doing for pictures, also I am making my own corsage and my date's boutonnière. The only thing I'm super worried about is that when I got my dress I was still breast feeding my son, now I'm not and I have recently lost a lot of wait due to other reasons I might get into in another post and my dress is really loose. It is a strapless dress so I'm not really sure what I'm going to do about it. Oh, and my dress needed to be shortened as well! I just keep adding to the list.
My main concern is that my dress fits and I have a date the rest isn't too big of a deal, I'm excited to get pictures with my date and all my friends! I really hope I get to take my date, below is a picture of the super cute way I'm going to ask him! How could he say no to that!? Haha, don't mind the candy that is in it, that was only for the pictures so it wasn't empty. I am going to get gummy fish, whales, worms and whatever else I can find like that.
This was super easy to make, I picked up a little tackle box thing, you can get things like this in any store with a fishing section or the dollar store or crafting sections sometimes have them too. I typed up the words and printed them out. (In case you were wondering the reason for the colors, blue and orange are my school colors.) I trimmed around the words and glued them to a piece of scrap paper I cut out. After that I glued it all to the little tackle box and decorated it with fishing themed scrapbook stickers and some glitter glue. All that is left now is to fill it up and give it to the guy I will be asking!
I would have liked to have had a guy to ask me but unfortunately that won't be happening, here are a few ways I would have absolutely loved to been asked! My personal favorite being the top one but I would have loved all of them, well really any Promposal seeing as I didn't get one. Oh well though, I have no problem asking my own date instead of getting asked.
How did you get asked to prom or ask your date? Promposals are so adorable, I would love to hear about them whether it was from this year or a previous year, feel free to share pictures. By the way, the three promposals right above are all from Pinterest, that is where I found them, they are not my pictures. The very first picture is though.
