If you couldn’t tell by the picture below my our new pet is a hedgehog! Her name is Trixie and she just turned 3 on March 3rd 2018. We got her on the 15th of January 2018 from someone who had previously bred her. I have always loved hedgies and have wanted one for some time now but there never seemed to be any to adopt near where we live. So we were happy to find one right in our town. Trixie is super sweet, and the kids absolutely love her. She is pretty low maintenance and doesn't make much noise. She eats just a regular hedgehog food and isn’t usually interested in fruits and veggies, etc. She has a fairly large cage that I keep on top of a bookcase in my basement living room area. Trixie’s first night with us I didn’t have a cage yet so I kept her in a plastic tote, with no over of course. My cat woke me up in the night meowing really loudly outside my room but that isn’t uncommon for him so I went back to sleep. When I woke up in the morning I went to check on Trixie a...

Introducing Little B

Image
-Newborn Lucas, One Day Old- This handsome little boy made his grand entrance into this world the very end of May 2017. He was born perfectly healthy, weighing in at 7lbs 13oz. My labor and delivery were fairly quick and all went smoothly. I had the most wonderful nurse that I will never forget, she went above and beyond for me. My hospital stay was short and a tad lonely with no visitors, so it was nice to get home quickly. I missed my two little kiddos at home. Chloe and Logan were so excited to meet their baby brother. I did end up finding out the gender before birth, and choosing a name was so hard. I couldn’t decide on any, Chloe was the one who ended picking the name in the end.  I wasn’t sure at first where I am not a big fan of the nickname Luke, but I warmed up to the name and Lucas became a better fit than I could have imagined. His nickname name is B, it all started because Logan BB for baby. The whole family started to just say B to Logan when referring to Luca...

Hello Again!

I’ve got to stop needing to make these posts, what is this, the third or fourth time!? It has been awhile now that I have been absent, which makes me so sad because I was on such a roll. I had so many pregnancy related posts all planned out that I never got to post. I had a lot going on, and I still do, that has kept me from blogging for about a year. I will explain a little bit most likely but not quite yet. So for now here is a bit of an update for you: S ince I last posted I found out my baby’s gender, finished out the           remainder of my pregnancy and gave birth to my little one. Logan turned two the beginning of June. I am still living with my parents, and finally have a room again,           Goodbye to that pull-out couch that was my bed for about six months. I’m still working on getting my license, hopefully by Christmas.           Although I am still extremely anxious when it...

Gender Prediction Myths!

After a ton of googling I put together a mater list of all the myths on how to predict the gender, there may be some that I missed but I don't thinks so. None of these methods are 100% accurate, if I had to pick two that I would believe more then the others it would be the skull theory and my instinct. Which methods were correct for you? I have heard from a lot of people that the Chinese Calendar is really accurate, however for me it was wrong with both my kids. I have also heard mothers swear by the heart rate being greater or less than 140 bpm and the ring on a string test.  Going by all my answers to these prediction myths what to you think that my baby will be? So far most people have guess that it will be a girl, some have guessed boy but not near as many. Comment below or on my Instagram post so I can do a tally of what everyone thinks before the gender reveal! Chinese Calendar Boy Mayan Calendar Boy Carrying High(girl) or Low(boy) Girl Growing Rounder(...

I’m Not Going to Miss Being Pregnant...

I am now officially 24 weeks pregnant aka 6 months. I feel more like 30 weeks pregnant! When I was pregnant with Chloe and Logan I enjoyed being pregnant, more so with Logan. This time, I already want this to be over. I’m so done being pregnant already and I still have 16 or so more weeks left to go. Here are some of the things I am not going to miss about being pregnant. Not fitting in any of my clothes. I now only fit in about 10 different clothing pieces..most of which are pyjamas. I get so frustrated some days trying to get dressed, either everything is too tight or it doesn’t cover my bump. I still have some maternity clothes from Chloe and Logan but it is mostly summery and I have to dig that all out still. Uncomfortable baby movements. My last pregnancies I loved feeling baby move around. This time around, don’t get me wrong it’s an amazing feeling but a majority of the time the baby is kicking me in my cervix and it is extremely uncomfortable! I remembered baby movem...

Happy Valentine's Day

Image
Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone, I hope that you all had a great day! My kids and I had a good day, unfortunately we were snowed in and have been for two days. We got a huge blizzard here on the east coast of Canada. I’m sure this put a damper on Valentine’s Day for people affected where basically everything was closed Monday and today. As for our day, we didn’t do too much. Mostly had a lazy day with a few crafts and heart themed supper. I made some heart shaped french toast (Logan loved it, he loves dipping food) with that some veggies, cheese and applesauce. The other day I gave the kids valentine pyjamas and a little gift. In their gift was a book, stickers, treat, stuffed toy, and a few other random things. Here is a picture of them opening their gift  the other day.                                                I was hoping to have as a few othe...
