Baby, It's Cold Outside
It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas...Not! I'm so ready for it to feel like Christmas time and look like winter out. Where I live we have had snow twice so far, it wasn't much and it didn't last long. Even the weather has been pretty nice also it's only just starting to get cold out, usually it starts to get cold in October.
Now don't get me wrong, as soon as winter arrives I wish it never had, but it sure does look pretty outside when there is snow and lights and all that good stuff. My Christmas lights aren't up yet unfortunately, it's been super rainy and windy recently and that's definitely not fun weather to be outsidestapling up lights..not that it's fun any other time either, haha. I have gotten some decorating done inside the house but not much so far, I still need to dig it all out of our storage room.
The only thing I'm really on top of this year is getting gifts and wrapping them, for the most part I'm actually almost done. So now I just have a big pile of wrapped presents taking up all the space in my room, I'd say I need to get the tree up soon. I started my Christmas shopping so early and let me tell ya.. I need my room back!
I've been kind of dreading putting the tree up, we put a fake one on the main floor and a real on in out basement. I know Chloe is going to love it and probably Logan too, although I'm not sure that this year Chloe will be as good at keeping away from the tree where unlike last year she can walk now. Either way though I'm sure this Christmas will be fun..messy but fun, haha! I wonder how many times she's going to take ornaments off of the tree..lol
I'm really excited that this year Chloe will actually enjoy Christmas, like she actually kind of knows what's going on. Last year she had fun but she didn't understand. This year she understand a little about Santa and all that. We wrote a letter to Santa to mail to him, this is the first year Chloe will be writing to him. We didn't bother her last two Christmases where she didn't understand. I will post a picture in the morning of her letter to Santa before I mail it, it's pretty cute, if I do say so myself ( I wrote it :P). Just this past weekend my town how the Christmas Parade and I totally meant to have her letter ready to mail by then because they collect letters to mail in the parade. Oh well though it will still get to Santa on time if I send it this week!
I have almost never missed a Christmas parade, I always went when I was little, acouple time I was in it though. I don't think I took Chloe her first Christmas because she wasn't even 2 months old and it was freezing out! We didn't go lost year and this year, this year was Logan's very first Christmas parade. He loved it! I'm glad they both enjoyed it, it will decidedly be one of those things that we will continue to do every year. My family has all sorts of Christmas traditions and I'm looking forward to telling you all about them in future posts this holiday season! Stay tuned for Chloe's Santa letter that I will be posting tomorrow.
What's it like where you live this time of year? Does your family have any unique holiday traditions, if so I'd love to hear them! Comment or message me :)
