Hello April!

It feels like it was just the other day that I did my Hello March post! Last month flew by, I can't believe it is April already! Today is April fools day, but most importantly it is the start of fishing season! I can't wait to get out on the lake and go fishing, I even got Chloe her very own fishing rod and both the kids have baseball hats with a fishy on them. Plus I have a new fishing rod and another cool fishing gadget that I have yet to try out.  Like all my other first of the month posts I will give y'all a little update on everything going on in my life. So currently the flu is going around my house, Chloe and I both have it. On top of that Logan have an ear infection and he is super congested. I'm hoping that we all get over it quickly and feel back to normal soon.  I am also back to work now after having had three weeks off. I enjoyed having my time off and I was definitely not looking forward to starting back up again but now that I'm back I am happy to be....

Easter Foot Art

Image
So the tradition continues. As promised, here are the kids's easter foot prints, they are a day late though. Like myself I'm sure may of you were busy over this Easter weekend. I had a family dinner at my cottage on Saturday, then on Sunday had the Easter egg hunt and all of that good stuff (see post before for Easter basket pictures). I hope that everyone had a great Easter, I know the kids and I did!  Above are our food prints, these are probably my favorite ones so far I think! They just turned out so darn cute. I almost did Chloe's foot as a chick but I thought her foot would be too big for the chick to be proportionate. I'm pretty glad I decided against it because the bunny turned out adorable. And Logan's carrot foot turned out adorable too! Again I used the same little flat canvases that I got at Michaels, the brand is Artists Loft. I can't remember the price but they weren't expensive at all, and super easy to store which is what I love about them!  ...

Easter Baskets

• Sunglasses Hearts for Chloe and camo for Logan! I doubt he will really wear them this spring/summer but probably next. Chloe is really good with her sunglasses, last summer she would keep them on great.  • Egg Chalk I saw these at Walmart last spring and picked them up when they went on sale after Easter. I though they would be so cute in their baskets, last summer Chloe loved to play with chalk! I think Logan with like it too, he can sit up good and play so I think he will enjoy it when the weather warms up. • C hick/Bunny Okay, so these are adorable! I picked the chick up for Logan and then my mom realized that if you press them they play hid and seek by making noises till you find it and press it again. I thought Chloe would like it so I went back and picked her one up to. •  Winnie the Pooh/Piglet itty bittys These I have also had for almost a whole year, I love itty bittys from hallmark, Chloe and Logan have so many of them! Great gift for any occasion, you can get s...

3rd Breastfeeding Milestone

Image
Well I'm almost a month late but wow, nine months already! That crazy, I truly did not think that I would get this far with breastfeeding. Fingers crossed I make it to the next milestone, which would be one year. In the beginning I didn't even think I would get to 6 months, between 3 and 6 months was my goal. I thought that maybe I would stop then. Honestly though, it's so much easier then bottle feeding in my opinion, especially in the night. Logan and I co-sleep, I find that I get much more sleep that way even though I still wake up 1-2 times per night. Co-sleeping of course is not for everyone but it works for us.  I still haven't been pumping much, I find it to be a pain and inconvenience personally because it takes a while. Last time I pumped though I got just about 7 ounces (between both sides) and I was pretty proud of my self for that. One other breast feeding mom milestone I reached last week was I wore a regular bra for the first time since I was roughl...

Leprechaun Box

Image
Ever since way back when I was little my mom had always done this tradition with me St. Patrick's Day. I stopped doing it when I stopped believing but now that I have kids of my own I can continue it with them. So yesterday Chloe and I decorated a box that I picked up from Michaels at Valentine's Day. That night we set it in the moon light before Chloe went to bed.  Above is the Legend of the Leprechauns story that I typed up and glued to the bottom of the box. I found it online, it isn't exactly like I remember when I was little but it was the closest I could find. I wish I could have gotten this post out a bit earlier but I hope you enjoy it and keep this idea in mind for next year. I had lots of other ideas for St. Patrick's Day as well, I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get around to them but I have been super busy!  How cute is Chloe decorating her leprechaun box!? Who else does this tradition with their kiddos? Or did it when you were younger? Commen...

If I Found a Pot of Gold...

Image
There are only a few days left until St. Patrick's Day, so I'm going to get started with the themed posts. Today, I am going to make a list of all the things I would do if I found a pot of gold. So here it goes! If I found a pot of gold I would.. • Buy a big house for my little family • Renovate my parent's house  • Pay for my university • Put away some money for my kids education • Buy myself and my daughter a horse • Self publish the book(s) that I want to write • Own my own business • Buy a truck and a nice car • Donate money to charity- Melanoma research, my local hospital and the pool I work for • Get myself a cow, donkey, ducks, plus other livestock • Take my whole family of a vacation • Go on a trip to Europe • Have my dream wedding and honeymoon  • Furnish my new beautiful home • Get some toys (boat, jetski, fourwheeler) I'm sure there are more things that I could add but those would be the top things that I would do. What would you do if you found a pot of gold...

Perfect Easter Gift (I See Me! Review)

Image
(All opinions are 100% my own)  It is already almost March break, I can't believe how quickly this year is going by!  Spring is just around the corner and Easter is fast approaching! I have had my kids Easter baskets done since last years spring stuff was on clearance. So I only have a few things left to pick up for it. Most people are just starting to get their Easter baskets together so if you are one of these people you need to check out this website!-->  http://www.iseeme.com/ Above is the book that I received from Iseeme.com, It is super cute. I love that on every page his name is somewhere, either in the picture or the text. Plus, inside the cover is a picture of Logan and from Mommy. I have already read his book to my son multiple times, and he loves it as much a 9 month old baby can love a book. Chloe loves it too, she loves to see her little brother's name in a book. I truly recommend checking out this website and purchasing something for your child's Easter b...

Goodbye February, Hello March!

Image
March already! Wow, time is flying! Logan will be 9 months and Chloe will be 2 and a half! I have to start planning Logan's birthday, I really hope it will be nice summer weather by then, where I live (in Canada) there is no snow on the ground. Usually it is still really snowy out and cold, I'm hoping we don't get anymore snow. I really don't like the cold, the snow can be pretty but I'm not a fan of being out in it. I was actually at my cottage last weekend. We planned then when we assumed it would be snowy and we could skate on the lake and go sledding. Here's what it actually looked like- -View from the kitchen window in my cottage- Lots will be happening this month, we've got, Saint Patrick's Day, march break and Easter! In the next two weeks expect some St. Paddy's Day and spring time themed posts. After St. Patrick's Day the Easter posts will start! I'm looking forward to a lot of great posts this month, it will be a busy one. Fortunate...
