Can Christmas Be Over Already?!

It is only December 1st and I already wish the Holidays could be over. I have had my Christmas shopping all done since the end of August, and I finished all the wrapping a few weeks ago. I don't know what it is about this year but I am really not feeling it at all. I really wish that I could just give everyone their gifts and then move on with it. Halloween is my favorite occasion, Christmas being a close second and I couldn't even get into that either.

Do any other parent feel like this?? Honestly, my kids wouldn't know the difference, they would just be happy to get a gift. Every other day my daughter asks if it can be Christmas that day. One of these days I might just say "yes actually it is Christmas morning!". There isn't anything I am hoping to get for the holidays, besides I'm too old to ask Santa for anything.

we always put two trees up, a fake one upstairs with gold and red ornaments and a real one in our basement with tons of hallmarks ornaments from over the years. Only the fake one is up so far, so whenever we are upstairs my 1 and a half year old is kept caged in a playpen with one toy that is too heavy to throw at the tree. I can't even let my daughter play in the living room while got to the bathroom or switch the laundry or make supper, first thing she does is take ornaments off of the tree. Remind me why glass was a good idea, maybe I should have only decorated the top half of the tree.

On top of the holidays quickly approaching whether I like it or not, yesterday morning I woke up to everything cover in snow. And I mean covered! I don't mind snow, it can be pretty, however, I have never liked the cold. I can't remember the last time I owned snow boots or a winter jacket. I was still wearing sandals up until yesterday. At least my kids were thrilled to see the snow.

Hopefully over the next few weeks all the decorating and baking I have to do and Christmas photo sessions I have to do then edit will get me a little more in the spirit. Fingers crossed, I hate to be down about the holidays. Maybe the Christmas spirit will just click.

I'm sure I cant be the only one feeling this way for the holidays. Comment below, how did you get out of the grinchiness?? Thanks for reading, Exciting announcement tomorrow evening so make sure you follow me on Instagram to find out what it is, there are links on the Contact Me page. :)
