Pregnancy Announcement #2 (Logan)

So, when I was 16, a little over a year ago, October 16th to be exact I found out I was expecting Logan. My period was due to start the very beginning of October and it never started so on October 3rd I went to the nurse's office to take a test. The test was negative, which I thought was odd because my period is never late but at the same time i was on birth control so I figured I was just being paranoid. The nurse told me to just come back in a week if it hadn't started and test again, so I tried to not think about it.

Turns out I for ot about it for a couple weeks, so on October 16th I went back to the nurse's office first thing in the morning when I got to school and I tested again. The nurse did the test and then set it down and we talked for a minute. She asked me what I would do if it was positive, I said that I wasn't really sure and that I would have a lot of thinking to do to figure out how and if I could handle another so young and so soon. The nurse took another look at the test and said it was looking negative, I said okay good. She looked again and when she looked up at me I just knew exactly what she was about to say. Positive! She did another just to be sure, and yes it was definitely positive. I was on the verge of tears and wasn't really sure what to say, I sat there so a minute before I left to go back to class after break. My mind was definitely not there during the last half of drama class, yet I still volunteered to do my presentation.

Before I went back to class after break I I told three of my best friends at the time. I texted my friends Liv and Hailey first, they were the only two that knew I was taking a test. I talked to them for awhile then I went to hang out with one of my guy friends at the time. I was nervous to tell him in person so I texted him (haha). He was happy for me, he thought I should go through with the pregnancy. On my way home that day from school I picked up another test to take myself to make it more real. And of course it was positive as well.

The next day I told my boyfriend at the time, he was at my house and i texted him a picture of the test and the words " I wasn't going to tell you yet but..." . The one time he didn't check his phone, so I had to tell him I just messaged him so he would check it. He was really excited, which kind of made me a little mad. I wasn't excited about it, I didn't want another baby so soon and it wasn't a planned pregnancy so I was still in shock. Although I definitely warmed up to the idea pretty quickly. I started taking bump picture, I started to show really early. Unfortunately before I told many people including my family so word got around at school. My old friend who has a big mouth got wind of it and soon expveryone knew. A woman I work with found out and she told my boss and my boss told all the staff, but she didn't know that I knew that. It was an extremely stressful time, there was a lot going on in my life so I didn't plan on telling my parents right away because I wanted to be 100% on my decision first.

Near the end of November someone from my work tome my brother and he told my dad. My dad called me from work right away and called me out on it, It was really hard, he didn't want me to tell my mom yet. A couple weeks later he told her though. She was furious with me, but I wasn't listening to it, I heard it all before when I got pregnant with Chloe, I wasn't going to let anyone make my decision for me. Eventually my mom came around, it took longer for my dad to.

Again with this pregnancy it took awhile for everyone to time out. I only told a few of my friends myself and the rest just found out as time passed. I posted an unofficial announcement on Instagram a couple weeks after I found out. But then I created this really cute announcement that everyone loved that I posted on Instagram as well. Here it is:
-Chloe was only just a little over a year old here.

The rest of my family didn't find out for a while, my uncle found out around February, my sister and my grandparents found out just before Easter. My dad's side of the family found out really early on. Once my whole family knew even though some weren't speaking to me a posted a picture on facebook of my belly. I didn't do an announcement because I imagine almost everyone already know.

-This is the first picture I posted to facebook about my pregnancy

At work the kids I teach and their parents didn't really start to notice until just before I went off on maternity leave half way through May. I didn't fit in my swim suit any more so I got a significantly larger one that didn't suck everything in. I only got a few comments from people there, nothing rude though.
